| Kristine Wood, Principal Mignone Interiors Kristine started Mignone Interiors in the summer of 2003 in her home by hosting home décor parties. Mignone’s goal is to offer quality home décor products with exceptional service, value, personal warmth and care. Throughout a year of home décor parties, with the business growing by leaps and bounds (sales tripled with every party), it became evident a store like Mignone was needed. The first Mignone store opened in Historic Snoqualmie in April of 2005. Because of the success of Mignone, Kristine and her husband Rick purchased a historic movie theatre (8086 Railroad Ave SE), built in 1919. Kristine completely renovated the silent movie theatre with her signature Mignone touch. Mignone expanded into the newly renovated silent movie theatre, celebrating with a grand opening on December 2nd of 2006. Kristine has dreamed of having a home décor store since childhood and is enjoying every aspect of creating such a business. Growing up she traveled through Europe and attended the Ritz Escoffier Ecole de Cuisine in Paris, it was there she picked up the distinct old world style she is so known for. She has the ability to create this same warmth and inviting atmosphere across many styles. When walking into the renovated movie theatre you’re taken aback by the beauty of the 100 year old growth beams overhead, the old 15” reclaimed barn wood floors at your feet and the enormous travertine fireplace to warm you. Kristine writes a monthly column for the Snoqualmie Valley Living newspaper with interior decorating and design tips. Kristine comes from a family with a strong entrepreneurial background. Her father started, built and sold several companies; all started in their home garage. Her work ethic is strong and her commitment to a job well done is second to none. Mignone has been described as a mix between Anthropologie, Masin’s and William Sonoma . Mignone carries several fabulous sustainable (green) furniture lines. To name a few, one the “green” upholstery line is called Cisco Brothers and Kristine’s favorie Sustainable case goods line is South Cone. Both are beautiful, very unique and very environmentally friendly. Mignone Interiors is comprised of a team of interior designers and decorators who collectively cover all aspects of design needed to create a perfect end product. Kristine, believes everyone has different strengths, and thus created a harmonious team of designers who work together very well and who always understand the client’s needs are of utmost importance. “We offer interior design and decorating services, we are a white glove service. Anyone can come in and shop for furniture for the home like they would at Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel or Masin’s. The difference is we offer interior design services for the client who would like these extra services,” says Kristine Wood. Kristine and her staff have the treasured ability to listen and to communicate with clients, helping them create an end product that is not only appreciated but desired. They make the overall process effortless and uncomplicated. Mignone has a wonderful surprise around every corner. It’s a place that must be seen!
